Chelsea defender David Luiz has said he would love for Radamel Falcao to join him at Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window, that’s according to Talk Sport.
Luiz was in action for Brazil on Wednesday evening and he came up against Falcao of Colombia and when asked if he would like the striker to join Chelsea, he said: “Of course”.
The Atletico Madrid striker has enhanced his reputation as one of the best goal-scorers in the world right now and the European Champions have been linked with him for a while now.
It is thought it could take somewhere around £40 million to land Falcao’s services and with Atletico struggling for cash at the moment, they could be willing to listen to offers for their star man.
With Luiz just one of a few South American players at Chelsea right now, that could be a key factor in helping the Colombian move to the English Premier League.
He is one of the highest-rated players around though and is sure to be spoilt for choice in January with a number of clubs ready to show interest in him.
If that club is Chelsea though, then maybe Luiz is someone to thank as he could play a part in landing his signature.
