Lyon close on Oumar Solet

French daily newspaper L’Equipe has suggested that Lyon are on the verge of signing talented defender Oumar Solet from Laval.

The 17-year-old has impressed in his debut season at senior level, and several Ligue 1 clubs are now after his services.

However, latest reports suggest that Lyon have the upper hand and they are expected to agree a January deal for his services before loaning him out.

The central defender has so far made 11 appearances in France’s third tier, while also representing the country at the Under-17 World Cup in India few months ago.

His suitors Lyon occupy third place in the Ligue 1 standings after winning their last four matches and they are priced at 4/9 to defeat Angers on Sunday.
