Bad news for Olympique Lyon. French forward Sidney Govou will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his right Achilles tendon in training on Wednesday. “Sadly he will be unavailable until the end of the season,” Lyon said in a statement on their website.

Govou is the only player in Lyon’s current squad with Brazilian midfielder Juninho to have been involved in all Lyon’s seven title-winning campaigns. He is 37 years old and he has won 37 caps for France, scoring 10 goals.
