Maicon hoping for quick return

Inter ace Douglas Maicon is hoping to a quick return to action from his recent knee injury.

The Brazilian’s knee injury was set to keep him out of action for the rest of the season, but Maicon is now hoping to be ‘back in 2-3 weeks time’.

Maicon said: “I felt an incredible pain and I thought it was something major like a fracture. Then the medical staff reassured me, I am hoping to be back in 2-3 weeks time.

“Now I am here in Milan and I hope I will be able to help my teammates before the end of the season.”
