Malouda linked with Lyon return

French newspaper Le 10 Sport has suggested that Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda could return to Lyon at the end of the current campaign.

The Frenchman’s contract at Stamford Bridge is set to expire and it is perfectly clear he will be leaving the Blues in the summer.

Malouda has been forced to train with the reserve team after refusing to sign a new deal and he will jump at the opportunity to quit Chelsea.

According to Le 10 Sport, the 32-year-old is likely to return to French Ligue 1, with his former club Lyon the favourites to sign him.

Les Gones are likely to stay without several star players in the summer and they could really use such an experienced player.

Malouda probably wouldn’t mind returning to the club where he spent the best years of his career, meaning the ball is now in Jean-Michel Aulas’ court.
