Man City and Bayern vying for Thomas Lemar

European powerhouses Manchester City and Bayern Munich are vying for the signature of Monaco starlet Thomas Lemar, Le 10 Sport can reveal.

The attacking midfielder, who can also operate on either wing, has enjoyed a bright start to his career at Stade Louis II, scoring 5 goals and producing 3 assists in 24 Ligue 1 outings.

And it appears that his impressive showings did not go unnoticed as the latest reports suggest that Manchester City and Bayern Munich are locked in the battle for his signature.

The interesting thing is that it was Pep Guardiola who alerted the Bavarians of the youngster’s potential and he will now attempt to lure him to Etihad Stadium as he is set to take over the reigns in the summer.

And while Monaco are not too keen on selling their prized asset, they are not in a position to reject a big money proposal for his services.
