Man City and Chelsea will have to break the bank to sign Cavani

talkSPORT is today reporting that Manchester City and Chelsea will have to pay a lot of money if they are to secure the services of Napoli’s Edison Cavani.

Cavani is rated as one of the best out-and-out strikers in Europe at the moment as he has netted 69 times in just three Serie A seasons.

Of course, with such talent comes a big price-tag and Napoli have a £60 million release clause in his contract, and it doesn’t appear they will settle for anything else.

Both City and Chelsea have the funds to land the Uruguayan, but thought they might be able to sign him for a cut-price.

That isn’t the case though as the Italian club have said unless the price is matched, he will not be heading anywhere in the summer transfer window.

The ball seems to now be in the English Premier League clubs’ hands and if they really feel as though Cavani can be one of the best players the league his seen, then expect a bidding war from these two big-spending teams.

If not, they might look elsewhere in the market and you never know, Radamel Falcao could be available at a better price than Edison Cavani.

Falcao’s price tag is also 60 millions… but Euros, not Pounds hehe ;P But still lower price than for Cavani 😛
