Manchester City boss, Mark Hughes has confirmed that his club are holding talks with Chelsea over the possible transfer of Tal-Ben Haim, according to a report on Setanta Sports.
“We have made a bid,” said Hughes according to the report
“Discussions are taking place and hopefully that will be among a number of deals that we conclude before the transfer deadline.”
The deal which would end Ben Haim’s less than pleasant stay at Stamford Bridge will cost Hughes a reported £5 million, says The Telegraph.
Meanwhile, according to The Times, Manchester City midfielder Michael Johnson is close to agreeing a new, five year deal with The Citizens.
