Man City keen on Brazilian starlet
Portuguese newspaper A Bola understands that Manchester City are keeping close tabs on Atletico Parnense midfielder Nathan Allan de Souza.
The 18-year-old shone at the Under-17 World Cup in United Arab Emirates last year, scoring five goals in as many games at the tournament finals.
His talent was then spotted by scouts working for Europe’s top clubs, with Manchester City reportedly leading the chase at the moment.
Nathan was even praised by Diego Armando Maradona and it is perfectly clear the attacking midfielder has a bright future in the game.
The youngster was recently handed his senior debut for Atletico Paranense and has so far scored one goal in two league starts.
The Brazilian giants, however, face a tough task in an attempt to keep hold of their prized asset beyond the summer.
Icardi could leave Inter
Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi may not remain at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza beyond the current season, reports Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Nerazzuri plan to sign a high-quality striker in the summer to pair up with Rodrigo Palacio, but having already splashed the money on Hernanes and Nemanja Vidic, they may have to cash in on the Argentine attacker.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Inter will also listen to offers for Samir Handanovic, Fredy Guarin and Mateo Kovacic.
A British investment fund has offered to buy out Icardi’s contract and then sell him on to Atletico Madrid, who are reportedly keen.
The Argentine joined the Nerazzurri in a co-ownership deal from Sampdoria for a fee of €6.5 million, but even though Inter have an agreement to purchase the remaining half for the same amount, they look unlikely to do so.
Since arriving at the club in the summer, Icardi has featured in 13 Serie A fixtures and registered 3 goals in the process.
Jallet nears PSG exit
Paris Saint-Germain defender Christophe Jallet looks set to leave Parc des Princes in the summer transfer window, according to Le Parisien.
The former France international has been playing second fiddle to Gregory van der Wiel since the arrival of Laurent Blanc, and he is reportedly considering his options.
Jallet’s current deal at Parc des Princes is due to expire in June 2015 and with the club yet to offer him a contract extension, chances are he will be leaving at the end of the current campaign.
Le Parisien reports that a number of Ligue 1 sides are interested in his signature, with Marseille expressing interest back in January.
Christophe Jallet, 30, arrived in the summer of 2009 from Lorient and has since made 139 Ligue 1 appearances and scored 7 goals.
With Gregory van der Wiel sidelined through injury, Jallet will be in the starting line-up when PSG face his former club later today, with the Saints 4/9 favourites to claim maximum points.
