Man City to offload Eliaquim Mangala

French daily newspaper L’Equipe claims that Manchester City have decided to sell centre-back Eliaqium Mangala this summer.

The Belgian defender utterly failed to justify the €40 million invested in him and the Citizens look ready to cut their losses.

Mangala enjoyed a successful loan spell with Valencia, but even though los Che would like to sign him on permanent basis, a €20 million purchase option is way too expensive for them.

However, there are several Serie A sides prepared to offer the 26-year-old an escape route from Etihad Stadium, and it remains to be seen whether they can find an agreement with Man City.

Mangala made a total of 48 Premier League appearances since joining from FC Porto, while he performed well in 30 La Liga matches during the loan stint with Valencia.
