Ajax’ striker Klass-Jan Huntelaar revealed yesterday that Manchester United were “very interested” in securing his services, that according to Sky Sports. Now, it is being reported that Arsenal have also entered the race to sign the clinical striker.
Huntelaar’s amazing goal-scoring record - which has seen him net the ball 70 times in 82 league appearances for Ajax - has made the striker a wanted man. Arsene Wenger now sees that player as the ideal replacement to Emmanuel Adebayor, who could leave for Barcelona this summer, according to News of the World.
“Arsenal are keen on Huntelaar and he has confirmed he would be keen to discuss a move.” Stated a Dutch insider, according to the same report.
Manchester United will no doubt be alerted by this piece of news and try to conclude a deal as fast as possible after Arsenal have already beaten them to Aaron Ramsey this summer.
