Premier League giants Manchester United and Arsenal are locked in the battle for Benfica youngster Goncalo Guedes, according to Manchester Evening News.
The 19-year-old has already shown a great deal of potential at Estadio da Luz and he is widely regarded as one of world’s most talented footballers.
Guedes can operate as a second striker or on either wing and he has been likened to Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo for his style of play.
The highly rated footballer has been on the radar of quite a few top sides, and the latest reports suggest that Manchester United and Arsenal are leading the chase.
But, with a €60 million release clause inserted in his current deal, it is clear that Guedes will not be leaving Estadio da Luz on the cheap.
Benfica currently lead the chase in Portuguese Primeira Liga and they can be backed at 6/5 to defend the league trophy.
