Man Utd, Atletico looking at Benfica youngster

European powerhouses Manchester United and Atletico Madrid are keeping close tabs on Benfica defender Branimir Kalaica, A Bola can reveal.

The Eagles only recruited the 18-year-old in the summer transfer window as he joined from Dinamo Zagreb, and the youngster has now made his first appearance for the club’s B side.

Kalaica played full ninety minutes as Benfica II defeated Academico Viseu, and it has now been revealed that the talented footballer was under the watchful eye of Atletico Madrid, Manchester United and Genoa scouts at Caixa Futebol Campus in Seixal.

Top European clubs are clearly aware of the player’s potential despite the fact that he never made a single appearance for Dinamo Zagreb or Benfica senior sides, and it appears the Eagles have unearthed another gem that they will later sell at a huge profit, just like they did so many times in the past few years.
