Man Utd to bid for Marc Bartra

Manchester United are readying summer bid for Barcelona defender Marc Bartra, according to Catalan daily Sport.

The Red Devils’ defensive problems have been well documented and it appears they have finally decided to do something about it.

Manchester United have reportedly made Marc Bartra their primary target and they are ready to offer around €12 million for the talented footballer.

Considering that his contract is due to expire in just over a year and that the centre-back is becoming fed up with the lack of first team action at Camp Nou, a summer move to Old Trafford appears to be a realistic possibility.

Bartra has now slipped behind Jeremy Mathieu and Thomas Vermalen in the pecking order, making mere nine league appearances this term.

His suitors Manchester United will be in action later today as they face Midtjylland in Europa League, and they are 1/4 to win the return leg.
