Manchester United would probably pull off the most controversial transfer of the summer if they manage to sign Thierry Henry from Barcelona. Such a deal would not be a far-fetched as some people might think.

According to a report in The Telegraph, Sir Alex Ferguson has cooled his interest in Tottenham’s Dimitar Berbatov and is now weighing up alternative transfer targets. Thierry Henry is at the top of his back-up list.

The same report also mentions that the possibility of Henry leaving Camp Nou this summer looks increasingly likely as Samuel Eto’o looks set to continue his career at the Catalan club.

Henry is reportedly looking to play in the more central role he is familiar with and will move from Camp Nou if necessary. Sir Alex Ferguson will only need to pay about £15 million to get the former Arsenal captain.

I am a die hard MU fan and have supported them since the age of eight. I would like SAF to get the player he wants soon be it Bebatov, Hunterlar, or Santa Cruz in order for them to blend with the team and start the EPL with a bang.

I work with a Travel agent and will be organising a trip to OLD TRAFFORD to watch the home game against Liverpool or Chelsea.

    I am a Singaporean.

Thank you for giving me the oppurtunity to have my say.

    KInd regards,

    Gerard

I dont mind signing Henry he prefered the premier league more than the primere division so he wouldent mind signing for United probably as he didnt hate United when every other United player hated us.

TH14 would be welcomed at OT. He is a class player and last few seasons he hasnt been at his best but i think Fergie can bring it out of him.

Henry is full of class and you know how that saying goes.

Im not sure if Henry could lead the line, but he could work well in the attacking trinity with Roo Ron/Tevez.

Henry 1 of the best player. Y we don think how awesome if he can partner with Rooney?

  9. Smudge d great on August 2nd, 2008 13:48

He’ll probably get back to form, besides we need covers, rooney and tevez are deadly, but i still prefer a consistent player, we dont need a gamble now. Get me someone like KLOSE, HUNTELAAR, VILLA,BENTLY,AFFELAY,ALEXIS,RAMOS,BERBA,FERARRI(free) and we’re ok

I’m one of a big fans of Manchester United.i do always watch every game of Manchester United because it’s really interested.they always do well for every match.i love Manchester United and all players in Manchester United especially C.Ronaldo and W.Rooney, they both are really the best partner in the world,i guess.in my opinion i think that Manchester United shouldn’t sell C.Ronaldo to Real Madrid,it’ll be a worst thing in the world,i guess.in my opinion i think that this summer they should sign D.Berbatov, jan Huntellar, David Villa or David Bently.they also should keep Chris Eagle.if they still keep C.Eagle in the club in the future he would be a best player in the world or for England,i guess.you see,my dream i do always wanna be one of the Manchester United.if everything can be true i think i’m one of lucky guy in the world.i’ll try to improve myself like C.Ronaldo or W.Rooney.finally i’m convince that Manchester United will keep my super star called C.Ronaldo for the new season that is coming soon.Rithivanxxx

  12. Zaion on August 13th, 2008 15:44

i think they should bring in more young players.. because TH14 is too old for man utd

  13. nash on August 14th, 2008 9:58

henry is way over the hill and we can do so much better. instead of looking for a player to fill in, why not get a permanent striker such as benzema or huntelaar. they would fit in well and then wel have a great team for many years to come nt just for 1 season. irrespective of who comes, rooney and anderson are going to stay in england and europe!

  15. Arsenal on August 17th, 2008 16:48

first of all…even if United wanted Henry,i doubt he would move to a ex-rival club after being with Arsenal for so long…he has already stated there is no other English club he would join other than Arsenal…so dream on Manures!

  16. max monty on August 23rd, 2008 0:55

Henry would move to Manchester, if he wasn’t so determined now to suceed at Barcelona, a place where stars have been dieng of late….

I feel gr8 when i heard the news.It shows how foolish most of the Manu fans is.When Henry “IGWE” Thiery was in arsenal,United fans were complaining that he’s never a better player.can they plz tell me the reason why they are dying to see him at old T.Can someone like Darlington from alapere ketu,Gbenga and Deji of Jebba st ebute metta and Chinedu wt Ojo of 34 salami street mafuluku oshidi all in Lagos state tell me why they are dying to see Igwe Thiery henry at old traf. These are few of the ppl that hated the KING.i have only one reason in supporting my team which is Chelsea,Becoz, it is in the blood.wen i will die,i will die a happy man coz i die wisely not like the manu fools who will die foolishly.
