Competition: Capital One Cup
Market: Sunderland to win against Man City
Odds: 1/2 @ William Hill

Manchester City travel to face a struggling Sunderland in the Capital One Cup third round on Tuesday night, which is a repeat of the 2014 final at Wembley. The Sky Blues are big favourites to come out on top against the out-of-form Black Cats as a result of their fine start to the campaign, and should have no trouble seeing past a Sunderland side coming off the back of consecutive defeats.

City have been in fantastic form in 2015/16. The Premier League leaders have won five of their last six games in the division, and will use this opportunity as a chance to overcome a recent dip in form in the league and Europe – suffering defeats against Juventus and west Ham United.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini is expected to rest a number of players, but he won’t underestimate his opposition. City have a squad full of strength in depth, and a second string side could be good enough to win at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday night. As a result, William Hill are giving odds of 1/2 for Manchester City to win away to Sunderland to book their place in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup.
