Manchester City host Liverpool in potentially the biggest game of the 2014/15 season so far. The Citizens start their league defence against the runners-up, so there promises to be fireworks. Home advantage has made Manchester City the favourites, while the Reds have lost their best player in Luis Suarez this summer so they aren’t as strong.

Manuel Pellegrini hasn’t made big changes to his lineup, with Fernando in the midfield the only likely difference in the starting eleven for City. Liverpool have brought in a host of players from the money generated from Luis Suarez’s sale that will feature tomorrow night.

Ladbrokes are giving odds of 17/20 for Manchester City to get all three points t the Etihad stadium to Brendan Rodgers’ side, but early season games can often surprise the supporters. City and Liverpool were both far from their best in their opening Premier League games this season, but they both managed to get all three points. Somebody will be disappointed tomorrow night.
