Manchester City eyeing Berahino

Manchester City are keeping close tabs on West Bromwich starlet Saido Berahino, reports The Sun.

The Citizens have been impressed by the 20-year-old striker and they will have the player watched in weekend’s match against Stoke.

Manchester City officials are well aware that Berahino is also wanted by a number of Premier League clubs, which is why they will attempt to lure him to the Etihad in January.

Saido Berahino has exploded onto the biggest stage this season and he is on the verge of nailing down a regular starting berth at the Hawthorns.

The youngster has already scored five goals for the Baggies this term, while netting no less than four times in three outings for England Under-21 side.

Berahino’s deal at the Hawthorns is due to expire at the end of the current campaign, but the Baggies have the option to extend the contract for an extra year.
