Manchester City join race for Nelson Semedo

Premier League giants Manchester City are considering a move for Benfica starlet Nelson Semedo, according to A Bola.

The talented footballer has impressed at the start of his professional career at Estadio da Luz and is already being linked with a big club move.

After Arsenal had expressed their interest in the defender’s services, it has now been revealed that Manchester City are keen as well.

With both Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna in advanced stage of their careers, the Citizens could add some fresh blood to the right side of defence.

And it would appear as though Nelson Semedo has emerged as their top target, although it is important to note that Inter Milan are also showing interest.

Despite making just six top flight appearances in his career so far, the 21-year-old was included in Portugal squad for the final Euro 2016 qualifiers and he will have a chance to earn his first cap when the Selecao take on Denmark and Serbia.
