German media outlet Bild has suggested that Manchester City are readying summer bid for Borussia M’gladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka.
The Switzerland international has been one of Bundesliga’s star performers this season and he is widely tipped to join a top European club at the end of the current campaign.
And it looks as though current Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola is keen to bring Xhaka to Manchester City, with the Citizens reportedly having made a £39 million offer for the 23-year-old footballer.
Manchester City are almost certain to stay without Yaya Toure at the end of the season and they clearly see the Swiss midfielder as a good long-term replacement.
Granit Xhaka had a slow start to his career at Borussia M’gladbach having joined from FC Basel, but he has since shown remarkable improvement.
The highly rated footballer has been in excellent form this season and there is a good chance he will be leaving die Fohlen for greener pastures in the summer.
