Manchester United 3/4 to beat Bournemouth in Wednesdays Premier League matchup

Competition: Premier League

Market: Manchester United to beat Bournemouth

Odds: 3/4 @ Bet365

With neither side left with much more to cheer about this season, Manchester United will be desperate to bounce back from their shock 1-0 loss against rock-bottom West Brom last time out.

For Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side, while the Cherries are coming off the back of a 3-0 drumming away at Anfield last weekend, the South Coast club have all but guaranteed another year of Premier League football at the Vitality Stadium. Now just three points away from breaking into the top half of the table, Howe will know his side must improve on their recent defensive issues if they want to finish the year on a high note, the Cherries now have picked up just three points once in their last eight outings and have kept just one clean sheet since November 2017. Now with the fourth worst defensive record in the Premier League, Howe’s side have conceded 12 in their last five.

As for Jose Mourinho’s Red Devils, coming off the back of a 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford to relegation lead candidates West Brom on Sunday afternoon, United officially handed the Premier League title to their arch-rivals City. While their Premier League dream may be gone for another year, United do hold the second best defensive record in the league, just one goal behind City and hold a stellar record against Bournemouth. With the Cherries failing to keep a clean sheet against the Reds in the clubs existence. United’s Belgium international Romelu Lukau now has seven in his last nine, including the winner against Bournemouth earlier in the season.
