Manchester United decide against permanent Falcao deal

Sky Sports understands that Radamel Falcao is set to return Monaco with Manchester United having decided not to pursue a permanent deal for the striker.

The Colombia international made thirty-two appearances in all competitions whilst on loan with Louis van Gaal’s side, but scored just four goals – the last of which came in a 3-1 win over Leicester City back in January.

Have struggled with injury, the 29 year old has turned out just twenty-two times for his parent club, scoring thirteen times while he also had impressive goals for River Plate, Porto and Atletico Madrid and has twenty-four goals in fifty-five outings for his country.

There are sure to be no shortage in potential suitors for the forward, though a future at Monaco is doubtful.

Having already secured a top four finish, Manchester United drew 0-0 at Hull City in their final game of the season, in a result that condemned Steve Bruce’s side to relegation.
