Manchester United enter race for Ighalo

Manchester United have entered the race to sign Watford striker Odion Ighalo, according to the Metro.

The Nigeria international, who has having a fine first season in the Premier League, has also attracted interest from Arsenal after netting fifteen times for Quique Sanchez Florres’ side in all competitions.

He also hit seventeen goals in the Hornets’ promotion winning 2014/15 campaign while internationally he has scored two in seven outings.

Ighalo moved to Vicarage Road from Udinese initially on loan in October 2014, while he also spent time with Granada and Cesena while he was on the books of the Serie A side.

Despite impressing this season, the twenty-six year old has failed to score in any of his last six league games as Watford have slipped into the bottom half of the table.

They are however thirteen points ahead of the bottom three, and are almost certain to be plying their trade in the top flight next season.
