Manchester United eye Shaw/Rose swap deal

Manchester United could look to offer Luke Shaw as a makeweight in an attempt to sign Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose, according to the Guardian.

Shaw made just his second appearance of the season as the Red Devils beat Swansea City in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening, but played only the final four minutes of the match with victory already all but assured.

The twenty-two year old has been strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford with his relationship with manager Jose Mourinho reportedly frosty and a potential part-exchange deal with fellow full-back Rose could benefit both clubs.

Rose made his first appearance of the season as Spurs drew with Real Madrid at the Bernabeu last week while he played almost the entirety of their EFL Cup defeat to West Ham United on Wednesday evening.

The two sides, who are separated in their table only by goal difference, face each other at Old Trafford on Saturday.
