Daily Express has learned that Manchester United are pondering a January bid for Schalke stars Julian Draxler and Benedikt Howedes.
The Red Devils have been watching the Germany internationals on regular basis this season and they are reportedly ready to step up their interest.
According to the Daily Express, Manchester United will offer around £30 million for the two players in the winter transfer window.
It remains to be seen whether Schalke will consider selling two of their best players midway through the season, and chances are the Red Devils will have to increase their proposal if they want to get their men.
Julian Draxler, 21, is widely regarded as one of Germany’s hottest prospects and he already has several good seasons in Bundesliga behind him.
His teammate Benedikt Howedes is an established centre-back who spent every minute on the pitch during Germany’s title-winning World Cup campaign, albeit playing at left-back.
