Portuguese daily newspaper O Jogo claims that Manchester United have entered the chase to sign Swedish defender Victor Nilsson Lindelof from Benfica.
The talented centre-back has so far been linked with quite a few high-profile clubs, and it is only a matter of time before he leaves the Eagles for greener pastures.
Latest reports claim that Manchester United have joined the race as well, with the Red Devils short of options at the back.
The Man Utd scouts have watched Lindelof on several occasions this season, which could suggest the Premier League side are readying a January bid for his services.
Victor Lindelof has a €30 million release clause in his current contract, but Benfica officials want him to sign a new and improved deal that would see said clause increased to €60 million.
The 22-year-old has so far featured in 26 Primeira Liga matches, scoring once in the process.
