Premier League giants Manchester United are stepping up their efforts to sign Valencia playmaker Ever Banega, according to the Daily Star.
It is no secret the Red Devils are looking to sign a high-profile central midfielder despite adding Marouane Fellaini in the summer.
And they seem to have made Valencia’s Ever Banega their number one target having watched the midfielder in action on several occasions this term.
The 25-year-old is reportedly looking to leave Mestalla following a poor start to the season and there are no doubts a move to Old Trafford would appeal to him.
Banega has a £50 million release clause inserted in his deal, but latest reports suggest los Che are prepared to consider offers in the region of £20 million.
Valencia currently sit no less than seven points adrift of fourth-placed Villarreal, and no wonder they are 4/1 to finish the league campaign in top 4.
