Manchester United linked with Valencia full-back

Manchester United are set to make a January move for Valencia full-back Jose Luis Gaya, according to Talksport.

The Red Devils are set to be without first choice left back Luke Shaw for the majority of the season, and manager Louis van Gaal is on the lookout for reinforcements.

Gaya broke into the Valencia first team aged just seventeen, and has since racked up almost fifty club appearances, scoring twice and has also played sixty-five times for the Oranges B Team.

Internationally, he has represented Spain at every level from U17 to U21 – winning four caps for the latter and scoring his first goal for them in a 2-0 UEFA U21 Championship qualifying win over Estonia earlier this month.

Manchester United beat Championship side Ipswich Town 3-0 in the third round of the League Cup on Wednesday evening, face Middlesbrough in the next round and can now be backed at 5/1 to win the competition outright.
