Manchester United: Martial out, Bale in?

According to a report in the Mirror, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has lost all patience with Anthony Martial and is ready to sell the former Monaco player, in order to obtain the funds needed to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid.

Martial has often been criticized by Mourinho for his style, and with Juventus reportedly interested in the winger, it looks like his days at Old Trafford may be numbered. The young Frenchman is immensely talented and would certainly be a good addition to any team, even though Mourinho obviously doesn’t feel that way.

Bale is going through a similar situation at Real. His stint there has been plagued with injuries, and even though he scored some vital goals since his move from Spurs, Zinedine Zidane has recently preferred the likes of Isco, Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez even when Bale is fit.

Having signed Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in January, the addition of Bale would certainly be a statement from Manchester United, though it would probably mean less game-time for young Marcus Rashford.
