Real Madrid left-back Marcelo has resumed training after spending almost three months on the sidelines with a broken foot.
The Brazilian had fractured his fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot while on international duty with Brazil in October 2012, having appeared six times in the league for Madrid so far this season.
He is now ready to rejoin his side in preparation for the Copa del Rey second leg against Celta Vigo on Wednesday at Santiago Bernabeu, with Jose Mourinho’s men trailing 2-1 from the clash in the Balaidos Stadium after Cristiano Ronaldo gave the visitors a lifeline.
Mourinho has decided to miss the Ballon d’Or awards as he is up for Coach of the Year award on Monday to concentrate on Wednesday’s encounter.
The La Liga title holders currently sit third on the table, already 16 points behind leaders Barcelona.
