Competition: Premier League
Market: Marcelo Bielsa to be next Swansea manager
Odds: 4/6 @ William Hill

Swansea City have reportedly been holding talks with Marcelo Bielsa about filling the managerial vacancy at the club following Garry Monk’s departure, and the successful Argentine could well be at the helm in the coming days. Gus Poyet was another name supposedly on their shortlist, but he looks to have missed out in favour of a more experienced coach.

The Swans are struggling in the Premier League this season, and such failure cost Monk his job despite having lead the side to 8th the previous term. Currently one place above the relegation zone with only goal difference keeping them out of the bottom-half, City need a change and Bielsa has an extension CV that suggests he could the man to turn them around.

A football obsessive, the 60-year-old is uncompromising and meticulous in his planning. Perhaps best remembered in recent years for his spell with Spanish La Liga side Athletic Bilbao who were renowned for their high pressing and aggressive attacking style. Such a philosophy is what he would bring to a Swansea side desperate for leadership, and William Hill are giving odds of 4/6 for Bielsa to be the next City manager.
