Marco Reus to be offered new Dortmund deal

German giants Borussia Dortmund have moved to confirm that star player Marco Reus will soon be offered a new contract at Signal-Iduna Park.

The 28-year-old has failed to make a single appearance this season due to injury, but the club still believe in him.

Even though Reus has another 18 months left on his current deal, Borussia Dortmund plan to offer him a contract extension and thus ward off interest in his services.

“Our stance has not changed,” sporting director Michael Zorc told Bild. “Our goal remains that Marco Reus stays here in the long-term.”

According to reports, Marco Reus is not too keen on extending his stay at Signal-Iduna Park at the moment and he could explore all the avenues at the end of the season.

The first objective for the highly rated forward is to return into action and attempt to nail down a place in Germany’s World Cup squad.
