Marco Reus to make Premier League switch?

Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus has suggested that he will be looking for a new challenge next season and Premier League giants Manchester United and Arsenal are both reportedly interested in acquiring the German’s signature, according to the Metro.

Speaking in an interview with GQ magazine Reus said: “On May 31st next year, I will turn 30. That would be my last big contract and a final opportunity to try something different.” This campaign marks the Germany international’s fifth season at Borussia Dortmund and he has bagged 89 goals across all competitions for the club.

The winger has been plagued by injury for much of his career but is still widely regarded as one of the best players in his position in world football. Reus has been named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season five times and added two Player of the Season titles on top of that.

Both Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly interested in the German and it will be interesting to see if Reus desires a run in the Premier League near the end of his career. He could well provide the perfect replacement for Alexis Sanchez at Arsenal if the Chilean does ultimately leave the North London club.
