Marino hails his lads

Udinese coach Pasquale Marino is delighted to be at the top of the Serie A with Inter and Lazio after six games.

The Bianconeri have lost just one match, against Juventus, so far this season.

Marino reckons his blend of youth and experience in his squad is the secret behind their success this season.

He told La Repubblica: “Topping the table is certainly pleasing, but we were doing good anyway.

“These lads are hungry for success, and I think there is the right blend of youth and experience in the squad.

“They are really superb players, I do my part, but the rest is up to them, and they are the reason why I relish going to training sessions and games. It’s fun when there’s so much enthusiasm around you.”
