Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta says Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be leaving Paris Saint-Germain to rejoin the club.

The Sweden international has been linked with a return to Juve, and although the club’s sports director Pavel Nedved spoke to PSG counterpart Leonardo about the player, Marotta has said his side cannot afford their old star.

“Nedved and Leonardo certainly discussed Ibrahimovic,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“Without doubt he is a champion, but Italian clubs cannot afford to sign someone of his wages. We appreciate him a great deal, but it is not possible.

“He is a great player, but not the type to match our age and financial parameters though.”

Ibrahimovic played for Juve from 2004 to 2006.
