Juventus manager Antonio Conte will remain with the club despite doubts over his future, according to director general Beppe Marotta.

Conte led the Turin outfit to their second consecutive Serie A title with a win over Palermo on Sunday but rumours have indicated the former Italy international could be set to move on.

However, Marotta was quick to refute those suggestions and insisted the 43-year-old is already planning for the 2013-14 campaign.
“The relationship between Antonio and the Juventus directors is great,” he told Radio Anch’Io Lo Sport.
“When a professional immediately reaches his goals, then it is normal to reflect on the future, but there is a desire to remain on Conte’s part, as well as the desire to win which is what the club want.
“When Conte says he needs to meet with the club it is because we need to define our next moves. We still have a lot of work to do in Europe. We need to find the right balance between economical possibilities and technical needs.”

Conte joined Juventus after the club had spent two consecutive seasons outside the top six, and Marotta was eager to hail the re-building job that has taken place since his appointment.

“Football is about planning. Without that you don’t win. We started a renewal with president Andrea Agnelli which only saw four of the old guard remain in the squad,” he added.

“It seemed hard to win immediately. What has been done in these years, however, is something really extraordinary.”
