Brandao lives in Didier Drogba’s old house and the Brazilian is determined to make himself so at home at Marseille that supporters talk of his goalscoring exploits as much as they reminisce about those of the Ivorian.
“Drogba had some great moments here, it was a really beautiful story,” said Brandao. “I’ll have my story, and it’s in the process of being written.” The January transfer window signing from Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk says he’s settling in well on the south coast of France.
“I’m very happy here. After six-and-a-half years in Ukraine, the sunshine and the support of my family here make me feel very much at home.”
