Marseille duo sign new contracts

Reigning French champions Olympique Marseille have extended the contracts of emerging stars Andre Ayew and Charles Kabore. Ayew, 20, the son of the legendary Abedi Pele, has signed a two year contract extension that will keep him at L’OM till 2015. Burkinabe midfielder Kabore will now be at the club till 2014.

Ayew joined Marseille from Ghanaian side Nania in 2005. He has also had short loan spells with Lorient and Arles-Avignon. Ayew was also part of Ghana’s 2010 World Cup squad.

The 22 year old Kabore joined Marseille from Libourne-Saint-Seurin in 2008. He was reportedly linked with Spanish giants Barcelona this summer.
