Marseille not interested in Gervinho

Le 10 Sport claims that there is no truth in the speculation that Marseille could make a move on Hebei forward Gervinho.

The Ivorian winger has been mentioned as a possible January reinforcement for OM, since he was coached by Rudi Garcia at both Lille and AS Roma.

However, Le 10 Sport has learned that there has been no contact between the two parties and that Gervinho is perfectly happy to remain at Hebei.

The 29-year-old joined the Chinese club from AS Roma in January 2016 and he has since made 18 league appearances and scored 3 goals in the process.

Gervinho had previously performed well at AS Roma and Arsenal, but ultimately decided to leave European football due to a lucrative offer from China.

He was later joined by former Marseille star Stephane M’Bia, who arrived from Trabzonspor shortly after Gervinho had joined the Chinese Super League side.
