Martinez uncommitted on Barry future

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has remained quiet over whether or not will attempt to try and secure a permanent deal for Gareth Barry, according to TalkSport.

The England international moved to Goodison Park from Manchester City on a temporary basis during the summer, and has impressed in his five appearances for the Merseyside club so far.

When asked whether he would be keen on signing the 32 year old full-time, Martinez simply said that ‘it wasn’t the time’ before lavishing praise on the midfielder.

Barry’s form has helped the Toffee’s to seventh place in the Premier League, while victory against his former club Aston Villa on Saturday could see them rise to second, depending on other results.

Everton are available at a price of 5/4 to win at Villa Park, while you can back them at 18/1 to win by three goals to one, as they did in last season’s corresponding fixture.
