Maxime Lopez on Barcelona radar

El Mundo Deportivo is reporting that Spanish champions Barcelona are keeping close tabs on Marseille starlet Maxime Lopez.

The 19-year-old has been one of the revelations of the current season, having managed 3 goals and 5 assists in his maiden Ligue 1 campaign.

After suffering a minor dip in form, the youngster has returned to his best, scoring a brace in the 5-1 triumph over Caen at the weekend.

This has seen mighty Barcelona rekindle interest in his services, with the Catalans now keeping a close eye on the Marseille midfielder.

In spite of the heavy interest in his services, Maxime Lopez has expressed his desire to remain at Stade Velodrome, and it looks as though he will not be moving clubs at the end of the current campaign.

With Marseille recently starting an ambitious project, the youngster has no reason to leave the club just yet, especially since he is currently playing on regular basis.
