Axed Esteghlal coach Parviz Mazloomi appears set to take over as Tractor Sazi boss, taking the position of his replacement Amir Ghalenoei.
According to PressTV, Tractor Sazi announced it had agreed terms with the 57-year-old Iranian coach, who guided Esteghlal to the 2012 Hazfi Cup and a third-place finish last term.
However Mazloomi, who spent time at Tractor Sazi as a player, revealed he is yet to sign a deal with the 2011-12 Pro League runners-up yet.
“I have yet to sign the contract. I was a member of the team 30 years ago and I am happy to reunite with them,” Mazloomi said.
Mazloomi left Esteghlal late last month after their AFC Champions League campaign came to an end in the round-of-16, while Ghalenoei took up his spot in charge of Esteghlal in a rare coaching swap.
