DR Congo international Dieumerci Mbokani has been recalled to the national squad by coach Claude Leroy.
The 26-year-old striker, who plays for Belgian Pro League champions Anderlecht, was excluded from the DR Congo team and later banned for a lack of discipline by former coach Robert Nouzaret, who was fired after they failed to qualify for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
But after taking the job in late 2011, Leroy promised to reinstate all the players who had fallen out of favour with the football body.
Mbokani figures on DR Congo’s roster for their World Cup qualifier against Togo in Kinshasa on Sunday.
Congo were defeated by Cameroon 1-0 last weekend in Yaounde and are at the bottom of Group I with nothing to show for their efforts.
