His FC Twente team take on Manchester City in the Uefa Cup tonight and he was asked at his press conference what he wanted to get out of the game. His reply was vintage McClaren.

“A win is a win. A draw is a draw. A result is a result.”

Still the same old tactical genius then. How on earth could England have failed to qualify for Euro 2008 under his inspirational leadership?
