Celtic midfielder Aiden McGeady could return from exile for the Scottish champions' clash against Dundee United on Saturday, Hoops manager Gordon Strachan admitted on Friday.

Republic of Ireland star McGeady was back in training this week after being suspended for a fortnight and fined two weeks' wages following a dressing-room row with Strachan after last month's 1-1 draw with Hearts.

Strachan, speaking at his weekly press conference, hinted that McGeady would be in his plans when he said: “Everybody who is fit is available. You don't lose any base fitness over two weeks so everybody who is in the squad has a chance of being involved.”
