McGugan makes Wednesday switch

Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of Lewis McGugan on loan from Championship rivals Watford, according to Sky Sports.

After scoring eleven goals in thirty-seven appearances in all competitions in his debut season for the Hornets, the former Nottingham Forest man has played just seven times so far this campaign, under no less than four managers.

During his time with Forest the 26 year old, who will be with Stuart Gray’s men until January 1st, made two hundred and twenty-nine appearances, scoring forty-four times having progressed through the club’s academy.

He joins up with a Wednesday side who currently sit thirteenth in the Championship, and could make his debut against Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon.

Having been relegated from the Premier League back in the year 2000, the Owls can be backed at a generous price of 25/1 to win promotion back to the top flight this time around.
