Fiorentina midfielder Felipe Melo has admitted that he wants to become captain at the club.

“I think the fans like the way I play on the pitch,” Melo told Tuttomercatoweb.com.

“I am working hard to become the leader of this side and I think I have the characteristics to do this at a team like Fiorentina. It would be amazing.

“The midfielder has reflected on the game against Bayern and he has also shared his views on the possibility of playing for Brazil in future.”

Melo has impressed for the Serie A club this season, but insists he does not think about getting called up for Brazil.

“I am happy for the way we played against Bayern as well as Inter,” added the midfielder.

“Brazil? I know [Carlos] Dunga was watching the Inter game but I don’t know about the future.

“I’m like Amauri, Fiorentina is my national team.”

Its unfortunate to hear that Melo has signed an extension to his current club, however i I still feel Wenger can make a bid since there is a buy out clause in his contract. Rite now I am touched by turn of events today. Melo is a good player who play like Michael @ M Utd.
