New Roma signing Jeremy Menez has admitted he is keen to get his career with the Gialloross under way with a win over Palermo.
Menez joined the Serie A giants from French Ligue 1 side Monaco this summer and has been labeled as the ‘new Zinedine Zidane’ by the French press.
“It is a big game against Palermo and it is crucial that we win,†Menez told the Roma Channel.
“I’m expecting a hard battle but I feel good, even if the training sessions have been harder than they were in France.
“I knew Palermo when I was in France and they had important players like Amauri and the new team really isn’t bad.
“However, we are going there to win and I want to get off to the perfect start.â€Â
Menez will return for the match after beingout with a back problem in recent weeks.
Roma only managed a draw against Napoli in Week 1 of the Serie A.
