Messi best in the world by far – Guardiola

(GSM) – Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola believes Lionel Messi is the best player in the world, by far.

Messi pulled off an outstanding performance in their gala match against Panathinaikos (5-1 win) on Tuesday night.

“After missing the penalty, Messi was hurting,” said Guardiola. “He has such self-determination, he is hurt when things don’t go his way …. he’s the best in the world by such a difference that it has no name.

“Everyone respects him. We must put him where he feels comfortable to develop his best football.

“He likes to train. He is very nice guy, low profile, has it all. There are very good players, but he is above. Look at how he scores his goals. It is impossible to doubt him.”
