Lionel Messi scored one of his trademark goals last night to hand Argentina an injury-time victory over fierce rivals Brasil and thus marked a perfect start to Sergio Batista’s reign as the national team coach.
Messi’s first senior victory over Brasil was achieved on neutral ground in Doha, in front of 50,000 fans, in a game that marked Ronaldinho’s return to the national team.
